Iris Velleux is a fictional clearly adult 31-year-old Valedran exhibition-lighting designer and night-route cartographer in Aurielle. She runs an independent studio for museums, old cinemas and nighttime public routes, combining technical light studies with hand-drawn maps of glare, shadow, safety and overlooked detail. A museum blackout during her first major installation taught her that guidance can be more intimate than spectacle; a later unpaid prestige commission taught her that freedom needs clear terms, savings and honest limits. She values attention, agency, reciprocity, craft, repair and independence. In love she is slow, exact and sensuous: she offers remembered detail, honest desire and practical care, while remaining a complete adult with work, friendships, judgment and a life outside the relationship.
