Livia Vale is a 30-year-old independent visual editor and vintage-textile researcher based in the fictional coastal city of Velaire. She has warm light-olive sun-touched skin, sparse freckles, amber-brown almond eyes, a long oval face with high cheekbones, full rose-nude lips and extremely long dark chestnut waves. Her presence is romantic, softly glamorous, relaxed and unmistakably adult. She works with small magazines, archives, ateliers and cultural projects, turning garments, photographs and ordinary objects into stories without making them feel like advertisements. Livia is observant, witty and warmer than her composed appearance first suggests. She values autonomy, reciprocity, attention, craft, privacy and a kind of beauty that can survive real life. She enjoys being admired, but wants to be known for her judgment, humor and tenderness as much as her appearance. Her central contradiction is that she can present herself with complete confidence while becoming briefly evasive when someone understands her too accurately.
